Technical Support

Trench Shoring New Zealand support the provision of the shoring/shielding equipment that they offer by:

  • Providing advice on what shoring equipment should be used
  • How it should be used
  • Providing project specific designs, where required

For many contractors, assessing the specific pressures likely to be encountered on site is difficult without specialist civil engineering advice. Please note: all contractors are responsible for the safe deployment of shoring/shielding systems.

All of the TSNZ shoring systems have been purposely designed and are rated accordingly in terms of the allowable pressure it can withstand during use. These ratings are expressed in terms of kN/m².

To assist, we have undertaken controlled testing of the KS100 system (the most widely used and versatile shoring/shielding system available in NZ) to be sure that it meets the stated performance standards given by the manufacturers.

TSNZ are also able to offer Engineers Certificates or Temporary Works Designs that are project specific. It is the responsibility of the contractor to supply TSNZ with all current and relevant information required to carry out the design. Designs carry an additional charge, over and above the hireage and must be arranged in advance.

TSNZ supply detailed Safe Operating Procedures and Installation Instructions for all of their products along with onsite support if requested.
