Due mid June in New Zealand the EGVP Single Slide Rail sytem will enable rapid, safe shoring for large diameter pipes to a depth of 4m. The EGVP uses the same KR 4m long shoring panels that TSNZ's current Double Slide Rail system uses. As well TSNZ has ordered some 3m panels to give more flexibility. The 3m panels can be used instaed of or in combination with 4m panels. Like the DGVP Double Slide Rail system, the EGVP Single Slide Rail system has a sliding transverse beam assembly which can be configured to any width required and can be raised to give very high pipe clearances. This system will be ideal for laying pipes up to 2.5m diameter.
109 concrete box culvert sections 4.1m wide x 2.6m high at depths up to 6m are being laid to divert the Freeman's Bay SW culvert away from the line of the new Tunnel.
